A downloadable game

I'm creating a 3D auto-tile cliff system inside of Godot so I can make creating my top down game(s) more fun, & much faster.

How does it work?

  1. Select height
  2. Select 1 cliff texture
  3. Click & drag to paint cliffs
  4. Select ground tiles
  5. Click & drag to paint the ground auto-tiles

Creating Zelda-like cliffs is always a pain in the butt in full 2D, because there are so many rules you have to make up, and it's never quite accurate, especially if you plan on traversing between the cliff layers. This system will allow you to create those cliffs in 3D, meaning you'll only need 1 cliff texture, not a bunch of interconnecting tiles, and your player can disappear behind those cliffs, jump on top of em, or fall to an agonizing death - with ease.

Think of the possibilities, as this system is so customize-able, you could easily use it for dungeon walls, caves, houses, & even tall buildings... yeah it's really that powerful.

I'll share the tool with the world when it's done, so for now, follow this account & keep an eye on your alerts. ðŸ‘€

wow that looks amazing!

thanks :)

I knew I recognized your name. Glad to see you around. This will be much easier to use than the blender cliff maker because of it’s tile based nature.
